We can’t deny that
nowadays children and teenagers spend a lot of time watching TV, so what they do
watch have strong effects at their lifestyles. That is why, if violence is
constantly shown on television, it increases among kids and teenagers.
In my opinion, kids and
teens that are used to see TV violence grow up being more aggressive, selfish
and less empathic than those
who are not used to it. I believe that they are not conscious of what
are they watching, so they tend to imitate what they see. That is a problem because
they often play vídeo games
where violence appears everywhere, and this is not educative for them.
In addition, parent control
has decreased recently, so this allows children to watch and play whatever they
want without knowing if it is educative or not. Maybe if adults were more
attentive of what do kids watch, kids wouldn’t be this violent when they grow
up.
To sum up, TV content for
children must be controlled to prevent any aggressive acts they can commit in a
near future.
