Violence among teenagers increases when more violence is shown on television? It is a really subjective thing to talk about, because it depends if you are an influenced person you will probably become more violent, but in the other hand my opinion in general is that teenagers don’t become more violent even if they see violence on different tv programs.
In my opinion, is common among adults to daily discuss whether their children's television programs are violent or not or whether they will react the same way they see on the programs or movies, as I told you before, in my point of view, teenagers don’t become more violent neither aggressive, for seeing several tv series or movies which content wars or aggressive plots, like for example one movie I saw last weekend that is based on the first world war and as it should be, shows several scenes of violence of the war, but it doesn’t influence my way of seeing the world or resolving my problems with violence, because it’s never the solution.
Secondly, I could show you several examples where people don’t act as everything they see, or either do the several murders that are shown on the news, moreover videogames also promote violence sometimes, and teenagers who play that kind of games don’t become violent or aggressive.
In conclusion if I had to summarize all the arguments I have told you I would say that teenagers are mature enough, to decide how they want to act, and generally don’t allow themselves to be influenced by any kind of content that is shown on tv programs.
