Nosedive is one of the episodes of black mirror ( a sci-fi serie released in 2016), specifically the first episode of the 3rth season, is probably a blockbuster inside this list of episodes and is directed by Joe Wright . The Main character ‘’Lacie’’ is played by Bryce Dallas Howard a famous star of cinema.
The history takes place in an alternative world where the society is conditioned by a ‘’ratings’’ which consists in rate a person between 1 and 5 stars and the average of that ratings define your life ( with more punctuation, your life is better ). Our main character, Lacie Pound, tries to reach the 5 stars average and go to her best friend’s wedding but unfortunately things happens to her and she loses punctuation, what would have happened if she hadn't argued with her brother? Anyway, the story continues and Lacie miss the flight because of the low average of stars (the flight required 4,5 stars and she had 4,2).Then, she arrived at the wedding ( with the lowest rating of the people that were in there) and her best friend wanted to expel her from the wedding because ‘’she wasn’t at the same level as her guests and that would give her a bad image’’, If I were her, I’d killed her ‘’best friend’’ for doing that. Finally the security guards of the wedding trap her and they send her to prison, where the story ends.
I’ve found the characters quite inexpressive and I think that reinforces the idea of a society in which people are judged by the way they are.
In my opinion, is one of the nicest episodes of black mirror that I’ve seen and I recommend it because If you watch it, you’ll enjoy it as I did.
