Nowadays, the majority of teenagers have a relationship, sometimes have toxic relationships
with their couples and, consequently, suffer from abuse. Abuse can be physical, emotional, or
sexual. Physical abuse means any form of violence, such as hitting, punching, pulling hair, and
kicking. Abuse can happen in both dating relationships and friendships.
To begin, toxic relationships are a real problem because it can affect to anyone despite being
well informed. Teens who suffer dating abuse are subject to long-term consequences like
alcoholism, eating disorders, promiscuity, thoughts of suicide, and violent behavior. Also,
emotional abuse can be difficult to recognize. Sometimes people mistake intense jealousy and
possessiveness as a sign of intense feelings of love. It may even seem like a nice gesture at
first.
In addition, people who are abused often feel like it is their fault for this reason schools should
offer additional educational programs to report all forms of abuse, this could be the solution to
prevent abuse and help raise awareness for those who are confused. And advice, would be if
you have been physically harmed, get medical attention or call the police. Get help from a
therapist if you feel confused or unsure of whether you are in an abusive relationship
To conclude, If you think you are in an abusive relationship, it’s time to get out of it. We must
have told to someone, such as a parent, trusted adult, school teacher or friend to let them
support you and help you end the relationship and stay safe.
