Many people think that adolescence is a life stage to try and discover new
things, for example relationships. But relationships are complicated, and
usually teenagers are not as much prepared as they should, so it leads to
complex situations like abuse, a difficult problem to solve.
In the first place, we have to be conscious that this is a very real
problem, because abuse leads people to feel concerned, especially if they are
teenagers. In addition, most of the times they are not able to see that they
are suffering abuse, so this makes it a problem very difficult to solve.
At this point, I think it is very clear that teenagers should have more
information about how to handle a relationship in order to be in a healthy one.
It is clear to me that this information must be given by the school, maybe by
educational programs that prepare them so they
can detect all abuse forms.
In my opinion, this is a topic that should have been treated a time ago,
because it can affect everybody. I think that a lot of work with this issue has
been done, but, however, we have to continue working to solve this problem as
soon as possible.
